Panduleni David

Panduleni David is an Old Mutual bursary recipient, currently studying Environmental Geology at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a member of the third session of the Children’s Parliament. A program by the Namibian Parliament to advise government and its agencies responsible for law-making and their implementing machinery to fast track policies that would improve the rights and welfare of children and young persons. Panduleni is most passionate about green politics and sustainability. He has worked with Namibia Youth Coalition on Climate change on formulating recommendations from a Namibian youth perspective on the various mitigation that were presented at Conference Of Parties (COP 21) in Paris, France. At the age of 16 he became the first person from his region to win an overall award in the medical category at the Nampower National Science Fair for his extensive research on Diabetes retinopathy. Panduleni stresses the importance of innovation and youth Start-ups as a way to combat unemployment and that circumstances do not necessarily define ones potential.

In his spare time he provides mentorship to his peers and volunteering at community orphanages.
